Beef & Chicken Stroganoff Recipes

I like the chicken one better, but you can always sub beef for the chicken in that one (rather than using the beef one with tomatoes).

We usually serve with hot bread or rolls and green beans and salad.~C

Beef Stroganoff

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 pounds steak -- cut into 1/2" cubes
1 small onion
2 Tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1 can diced tomatoes
1 cup sour cream
egg noodles -- cooked

Place steak and onion in crockpot. Stir in flour and coat steak and onion. Add the remaining ingredients, minus the sour cream. Stir well. Cover and cook. Add sour cream 30 minutes before you are ready to serve, stir in thoroughly. Serve over egg noodles.

Chicken Stroganoff

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts -- frozen (don't worry about thawing)
1 pound sour cream
8 ounces mushroom pieces
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Put breasts in crockpot, mix up the rest of the ingredients and pour them on top, making sure chicken is covered. Cook 8 hours on low. Serve with wide egg noodles.
