Day 5, Decluttering...One Desk Shelf

Ok, this is REALLY embarrassing...It's ONE of the shelves on my desk.

shelf before....yes, please don't judge, I know it's bad...

the contents of that shelf dumped...in my defense, I have 4 kids & a dh that love to stick stuff on my desk and it's a really deep shelf. Ok, that doesn't even sound like a good excuse to me, lol.

Ahhhhh...a nice clean shelf. Tell me why it can't stay that way???

This is all the stuff that needs to be put away elsewhere.

This is the stuff that needs to be put back on that shelf (disregard the crayon box and the rolls of calculator paper, because I ended up putting 2 photo boxes full of supplies on the shelf and now they won't fit on the shelf).

The after picture ;) 2 photo boxes of supplies, my markers, my check box, envelopes, scrap paper (the old stubs from the business account), index cards, tae bo dvd, education cdrom, my favorite cd, butterfly rock that Brea painted, my meter & outgoing mail.........

Wow, Cherylann! The shelf looks great! Can you come help me out here? :-) Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Happy New Year!

Thanks Lisa. I still have a long way to go. And that shelf won't stay that way long with the kids & dh sticking stuff everywhere :)

I hope you had a great Christmas, too. Happy New Year!

If only we could put a protective shield around our desks! LOL

LOL, yes :) I know it's only been a little over a day, but I've maintained the shelf. I did add my diab meds and a bottle of lotion, for easy access...but I've kept others away from "that" shelf. Too bad they added to my other shelves.

How's it looking today?

This shelf is still doing well, I've just added my lotion and diabetes meds. And also my camera resides there while it's not in use.

The other shelves are getting better, I tossed a bunch of stuff from them last night, but still have a long way to go in getting them organized (they are mostly papers to file, not "stuff").
